Christmas In Indonesia

By Morgan, Bella, and Regina

Food- In Indonesia, people eat pork grilled, brenebon soup, jagung bose, pork satay, which is grilled pork that is diced and stuck to bamboo. For dessert, they eat cookies and cakes. They drink sodas.

Traditions- Christmas in Indonesia is very similar to Christmas in America. In the beginning of December Indonesians decorate the inside and outside of their houses. They decorate string with popcorn and light bulbs. They go to mass services and have a big dinner on Christmas Eve then on Christmas Day they give each other gifts and have big festivals and celebrations.

Decorations- Most Indonesian people have big, glittery decorations. They have normal Christmas trees like us  that are both plastic and some have real ones like us. They also have ornaments like us to put on the trees.

How to say Merry Christmas- "Selamat hari Natal!"

Morgan I have a tradition for you. One website says that on Christmas people gather with other people to sample foods instead of celebrating with just their family.
